OUR STORY
Founded in 2000, Hong Kong Open Printshop is the first non-profit open
printshop run by artists in Hong Kong. In 2012, Hong Kong Open Printshop was registered as a charitable organisation governed by the Board of Directors and Executive Committee, and operated by a professional team.
HKOP is dedicated to promoting graphic art, encouraging international cultural exchange, enhancing the quality and professional standard in artistic expression, and giving back to the community by preserving local print art culture.
In 2022, Hong Kong Open Press was established by HKOP with a vision to
preserve and promote the significant history of Hong Kong's letterpress printing industry. Its mission includes inheriting Chinese movable type and letterpress techniques while revitalising this traditional craft through contemporary interpretations.
