About Print Art Contemporary 

 

The establishment of Print Art Contemporary marks a new milestone for Hong Kong Open Printshop (HKOP) in 2025. Founded in 2000, HKOP is Hong Kong’s first non-profit printshop that is opened for the community. In 2012, Hong Kong Open Printshop registered as a charitable organisation. In 2022, Hong Kong Open Press was established with a vision to preserve and promote the significant history of Hong Kong's letterpress printing industry.  

 

Print Art Contemporary, operated by HKOP, is committed to fostering international cultural exchange, enhancing the quality, professional standards and artistic expression of local print art, and preserving Hong Kong’s rich print art culture for generations to come.  

 

As a Part-Time Docent, you will help enhancing the visitor experience by creating a welcoming space and bringing a deeper understanding of our exhibition to visitors.  

 

Duties include:

• Assist in the daily operation of an art space at PMQ in Central. 

• Lead guided tours of the exhibition, training will be provided. 

• Engage with visitors and to create a welcoming and informative environment for visitors. 

• Assist the Curator and Manager in exhibition programmes coordination. 

• Work on roster, 2-3 days/week, including weekends and holidays according to operational needs.

Requirements:

 

• Hong Kong permanent resident and aged 18 or above.  

• A university/tertiary student or graduate. 

• Good communication and interpersonal skills. 

• A responsible and punctual team player. 

• Experience in education, museum, or gallery settings is a plus. 

• Fluent in spoken Cantonese and English, ability to speak Mandarin is preferred. 

• Knowledge of computer applications, including MS Office and Chinese word processing. 

• Occasional shift duty is required. 

• Immediate availability and with interest in graphic art is preferred.

​Hourly rate: HK$65
